Automotive
Our automotive division, comprising J.K. Wire Harness Sdn Bhd (JKWH) and JK Sumi Wire Harness Sdn Bhd (JK Sumi), are leading manufacturers of wiring harnesses, CIVUS wires, PVC wires and cables for motor vehicles, motorcycles and auto accessories in Malaysia, commanding a 50% share of the domestic market.
We encourage global benchmarking and best in industry management practices and quality standards in the Malaysian Automotive Industry. This focus has resulted in the continued growth of a local company employing thousands continuing to win awards from its customers year after year for Quality, Cost, Delivery and Safety.
Our main manufacturing facilities are in Tebrau – Johor Bahru, Merlong – Johor and Tapah – Perak. We maintain a logistics centre in Kuala Lumpur, to efficiently serve our customers in North and Central Malaysia.
Automotive Wiring Harnesses and Cables
As an accredited supplier to many world-class automotive assemblers, JKWH distributes “JK” brand wire harnesses to an extensive range of models from Japan’s Honda, Toyota, Nissan, Mazda and Mitsubishi to Malaysia’s Proton and Perodua.
JKWH’s automotive capabilities also include relationships with Honda motorcycles as well as automotive accessories such as air-conditioners bearing the trade names “Denso”, “Sanden”, central locking and auto alarm systems.
JKWH has inked technical agreements (TA) with some of the world’s most-recognised technology leaders, an achievement that has given it an edge over many rivals.
When it started operations in 1984, JKWH leveraged on the expertise of its joint venture partner, Sumitomo Wiring System Ltd (SWS) from Japan, to produce international quality wire harnesses.
In June 2001, it signed a TA with Korea’s Kyungshin Corporation, followed by a Technology Licence Agreement with Sumitomo Electric Bordnetze (SEBN) in 2012.
These agreementshave yielded tremendous benefits in technology transfer terms and in the adoption of industry best practices across JKWH’s manufacturing operations.
Taking its commitment to excellence further, the company has also achieved ISO/TS 16949 quality management certification, becoming one of the first Malaysian wire harness makers to have attained the global standard. It is also ISO 9001-certified.
JKWH is a part of the SWS Group of Companies’ vast global network, comprising manufacturing, sales and technical centres and sites around the world.
JK Sumi’s investments in state-of-the-art machines and technically proficient human capital produces technically demanding components, making it one of just seven locations worldwide within the Sumitomo network boasting of such capabilities.

Corrugated Tubes & Vinyl Tubes
JK PSD Sdn Bhd (JK PSD) specializes in manufacturing corrugated tubes (COT) and vinyl tubes (VT) for automotive wire harness and other automotive component usage.
In 2009, JK PSD was licensed by the Ministry of Trade and Industry to manufacture parts for use in automotive wire harnesses and other automotive components from its factory in Tebrau in Johor.
Its main customer is JKWH, the established Tier-1 automotive wire harness manufacturer with a dominant share in the Malaysian market.
JK PSD adopts leading technologies and best practices, focusing on products of exceptional quality and reliability.
