Our Story
TSM Global Berhad (“TSM”) is an investment holding company. Via its subsidiaries, TSM is a key player in the automotive industry, manufacturing and supplying wiring harnesses automobiles, motorcycles and auto accessories, CIVUS cables, polyvinyl chloride (PVC) wires and cables.
Via 60%-owned subsidiary J.K. Wire Harness Sdn Bhd, TSM is an accredited supplier of “JK” branded wire harnesses to a broad range of Japanese and Malaysian automotive assemblers in Malaysia.
This makes us one of the few global suppliers with truly high-quality, end-to-end services.
Today, TSM’s automotive divisions count a total of three factories in Malaysia and a combined workforce of more than 3,000 employees.
Within its real estate portfolio, TSM owns KYM Tower, a Grade A office tower in Mutiara Damansara and several industrial properties in Bangi (Selangor), and Cheras (Kuala Lumpur). It also has commercial and residential properties in Penang, Pulau Langkawi, Kuala Lumpur, Port Dickson and Skudai in Johor.

Our History
TSM started operations 1967 in Tampoi as a partnership under the name of Juan Kuang (M) Industrial Co as a manufacturer of fluorescent light casings on a small scale.
In 1981, the partnership was converted into a private limited company with the incorporation of Juan Kuang (M) Industrial Sdn Bhd, a predecessor of TSM Group today.
In line with Malaysia’s rapid industrialization in the 1980’s, TSM enlarged its manufacturing base to electric lamps and wiring harnesses and signed a technical assistance agreement with the joint venture partner, Sumitomo Wiring System Ltd (SWS). Since then, TSM Group has marked a milestone in the production of world-class wire harnesses for the Malaysian market and made significant inroads in attaining its Goal of being An Award Winning Company – Best Supplier Award, Best Delivery Award and the Best Quality Award Excellent Delivery Award from its customers.

Our Milestone

Set up wholesale supply division to supply electrical wiring accessories within Johor.
Ventured into the production of electrical wiring products and accessories such as plug tops and lamp holders.
The partnership was converted into a private limited company with the incorporation of Juan Kuang (M) Industrial Sdn Bhd.
TSM, in line with Malaysia’s rapid industrialisation, enlarged its manufacturing base to electric lamps and wiring harnesses.
The automotive division signed a technical assistance agreement with the joint venture partner, Sumitomo Wiring System Ltd (SWS).
The electrical trading division expanded its marketing network to Kuala Lumpur, Butterworth, Kuantan and Klang.
The Company was converted to public company in 1992 and listed on the second board of Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange in 1993.
Following the transfer of its electrical trading business to its subsidiary, TSM became an investment holding company and moved the head office to Kuala Lumpur.
The Wiring Harness Division inked a technical assistance agreement with Kyunshin Corporation for the supply of wiring harnesses to major Korean cars assembled in Malaysia.
The Group undertook a business rationalisation exercise to focus on the manufacture of wiring harnesses, automotive high tension cables, PVC wires and cables.
The Wiring Harnesses Division grew rapidly and expanded its production base to Tapah, Perak.
TSM changed its name to TSM Global Berhad.
TSM’s listing was transferred to the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad.
TSM was taken private and became a wholly-owned subsidiary of West River Capital.
TSM relocated its corporate headquarter to KYM Tower in Mutiara Damansara, a Grade A office tower developed by TSM Group.
